Our honorable
guest, Dato’/ Datin, respected parents, CIC’s associates, teachers, boys and
girls.
Assalamualaikum wrt.
These
simple words "Dream big” have been CIC’s theme for 2018. It is easy to
understand that dreaming big is the first step to success.
Successful
people dream big, even if the goal may seem extremely difficult to achieve. 30
years ago, our former prime minister dreamt big about bringing Malaysia into
the eyes of the world. At that time, people did not even know our country’s
name. But today Kuala Lumpur is among the top 10 most visited cities in the
world.
Indonesian
late Soekarno said " Gantungkan cita-cita mu setinggi langit!
Bermimpilah setinggi langit. Jika engkau jatuh, engkau akan jatuh di antara
bintang-bintang" Having the big dream, Jakarta today also aims high, under Pak Jokowi’s
leadership with the Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati who was awarded as
the Best Minister in the world recently. Sri Mulyani who was brought up in an
educated family in Lampung, was one of the Managing Directors of the world bank
group. She is credited for strengthening Indonesia's economy today.
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
In
English they say “shoot for the moon. Even if a person misses, he will land
among the stars”. I believe every of us have heard about this sayings.
When
we were small, our teachers asked what our ambition is, our parents ask what we
want to be when we are big. We were asked to write about our ambition in the
school. We did not really understand what the ambition means. But why were they
asking?
Do
you know the reason they keep asking us that kind of questions? Actually behind
that questions, there is very important goal and
objective that is to develop the thinking, the intention and the direction of
the children.
Parents
must be able to identify the strength and passion of each child so that it is
easier for him or her to achieve her ambition accordingly. And more importantly
the parents must be able to explain about it and guide them further.
Dear brothers and sisters,
It
is very beneficial to dream big at the young age. Our children will have clear
direction in their life. They will know why they need to learn, what to learn
and why they need to face the challenges etc. And if later our children are
distracted and run away from the direction, it is easier for the parents to
guide them back on the track.
When
the ambition is strong, their thinking and will are strong too. It will help
them to fight with their weaknesses, the constraints and those negative
elements that come along the ways.
This is the power of big
dream. This is what we do at CIC. We dream big, we work hard and make things
happen! Our team are feeling super motivated to work harder to make more things
happen this year at CIC. Look at us today!!! Students, teachers and parents are
together to bring up the champion.
Muhammad
Ali said, “Champions aren't made in gyms. Champions are made from something
they have deep inside them-a desire, a dream, a vision. They have to have the
skill, and the will. But the will must be stronger than the skill”.
So
are you ready to dream big and make things happen successfully this year? Yes!!
Finally
I just need to remind all of us that never dream in the worldly matters only,
dream high for the hereafter. Get the great life in both dunia and akhirat.

آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ
